Your tale begins here…
Because every jamboree journey holds a story worth telling

Greetings to all wanderers and storytellers preparing for WINGS 2026!
We’re thrilled to open the very first chapter of The Wandering Quill, your official virtual newspaper for the jamboree. This is where voices from across the world come together; sharing the excitement, anticipation, and magic that make jamborees unforgettable.
Whether you’re already planning your group’s camp gateway, counting down the days, or simply dreaming of the adventures ahead, you’re in exactly the right place!
The magic of a jamboree
Ask anyone who has ever been to a jamboree, and they’ll tell you it’s impossible to sum up in just one sentence.
Jamborees are a tapestry woven from mud-splattered boots, shared songs, early morning sunrises over tents, and that feeling of belonging to something bigger than yourself. They are places where strangers become teammates, teammates become friends, and friends become part of the stories you will tell for years to come.
WINGS 2026 will be no exception. In fact, it promises adventures, discoveries and connections that will linger long after the final flags are lowered.
And this is where The Wandering Quill comes in.
Your stories bring the magic to life
This space is yours… where stories can be gathered, shared, celebrated and remembered.
We want to hear the tales that unfold long before you reach the site: the excitement in your unit meetings, the fundraising triumphs, the late‑night packing, the chatter about what you’re most looking forward to. We want to travel with you in your imagination, hearing where you’re journeying from and what traditions or special plans you’re bringing with you.
And once the jamboree begins? That’s where the real adventure takes flight.
The Wandering Quill will be capturing every shade of the experience: the triumphs, the surprises, the moments when things go delightfully wrong and become the memories you laugh about later. Perhaps your unit is planning a spectacular campsite gateway or badge to swap. Perhaps you’re preparing a performance, a song, a cultural celebration. Maybe one of your group has a birthday during the jamboree, or there’s a special presentation, an anniversary, or a milestone that deserves to be celebrated.
We want to know all of it! The big moments, the quiet moments, and the ones that sparkle with unexpected magic.
We’re with you all the way
The Wandering Quill, will be by your side through every chapter of this journey.
In the weeks leading up to WINGS 2026, we’ll be sharing your preparations, your excitement, your creativity and your stories.
Once we arrive on site, we’ll be gathering stories daily; the laughter, the challenges, the campfire legends, the friendships that make the world feel joyfully small. And when the tents are packed away and the fields fall silent, our pages will continue to flutter, collecting reflections and memories from a jamboree that changed us all just a little bit.
Because great stories never end when the event does… They live on in the telling.
Share your magic with us!
Because this jamboree isn’t just something we attend. It’s something we create together.
