To keep WINGS safe, accessible and running smoothly, vehicle movement on and around the site is carefully managed. Please read the guidance below and follow all instructions from marshals, security teams and event volunteers.
Car parking and passes
We MUST have the vehicle registration number for all cars parked on site, recorded on EMS by Friday 3 July. Additionally parking permits will be issued in your event pack, please ensure these are completed and displayed in your vehicle.
Don’t worry, if your vehicle registered on EMS changes please email [email protected] and we can update your record or inform us on at registration
All vehicles must be parked in the designated WINGS car parks unless directed otherwise.
- A car park permit must be clearly displayed in the windscreen of all vehicles at all times
- Additional copies can be requested during the event through your subcamp Team in certain situations
Failure to display a pass may result in restricted access to parking areas.
International group arrivals
If you’re travelling from overseas and require support from an airport, port or major transport hub. Please contact [email protected].
Vehicle access to subcamps
Vehicle access to the site is strictly controlled to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Each group will be issued with one vehicle permit, allowing one vehicle at a time onto site for unloading
- Vehicle access is weather and ground condition dependent
- All other vehicles must remain in the car park until the permit is returned
On arrival:
- Vehicles with permits will be directed to the subcamp perimeter to unload equipment
- Vehicles must not drive onto individual pitches
- Once unloaded, vehicles must return immediately to the car park
All personal luggage must be carried by individuals to subcamps. We recommend bringing a trolley or wheelbarrow to help transport equipment.
Trailers may be taken onto pitches (space permitting) but must be manually moved once detached from the vehicle.
Your subcamp team will be available to guide and support you on arrival.
Movement of vehicles on-site
For the safety of everyone at WINGS, vehicle movement is restricted throughout the event.
- Private vehicles are not permitted on site, except during arrival and departure and must follow the one way route in place.
- All vehicles must remain parked in the designated car parks when not unloading
- The site speed limit is 5 mph
- Hazard lights must not be used while driving on site (“HazOff”)
- Always use indicators when turning
- Designated roadways must be kept clear at all times
Large operational vehicles may be in use across the site. These vehicles can have blind spots, so please always:
- Keep a safe distance
- Follow marshal instructions
- Avoid walking or gathering in operational areas
Keeping everyone safe
Vehicle movement is one of the busiest parts of any large jamboree. By following this guidance and working together, we can ensure that WINGS remains a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
If you are ever unsure, please speak to your subcamp team or an event volunteer marshal – they’ll be happy to help.
Bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters and drones
To maintain a safe environment for all participants, bicycles, e‑bikes and e‑scooters are not permitted anywhere on the WINGS site for units, leaders or participants.
This helps manage pedestrian movement across busy areas and reduces the risk of accidents.
Drones
For safety and privacy reasons, drones are not permitted anywhere on the WINGS site.
If any of these items are brought to site, they will need to be removed immediately by the owner.
