Before & During the Event
You might get involved in: these may be part of the activity leadership team or spread across activities.

Administration – Tracking kit, managing spreadsheets, and liaising with Procurement.

Staffing support – Keeping track of all our fantastic volunteers, permit holders, creating rotas and keeping them updated.

Procurement – Sourcing and working with finance on the purchasing of the needed materials and equipment.

Logistics – Helping move kit and people from A to B (and back again!).

General Support – Coordinating transport, meeting people on arrival, or being an information point.
During the Event
We’ll need a wide range of skills and support, including but not limited to:

Team Leaders – Lead a small team of volunteers with guidance from the Activity Leadership team.

Team Members – Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-
Assisting with the setup, delivery, and supervision of team games and large-scale activities.

Managing queues to ensure sessions run efficiently and safely.
-
Supporting scheduled performances and demonstrations.
-
Guiding participants between activity zones or areas as required.
-
Helping to maintain activity spaces, ensuring they remain safe and welcoming.

Providing general support to the Activity Leadership team and other volunteers as needed.

Engaging positively with participants to create an enjoyable and inclusive experience.

Craft Activities – Encourage creativity through fun hands-on activities.

Permit Holders – Of any kind! (Please tell us what you hold.) We’re especially looking for climbing and water permit holders.

Backwoods Skills – Fires, knots, pioneering, bushcraft, and nature-based activities. Perfect if you enjoy the outdoors.

Kit Maintenance / Repairs – Be our on-site “fix-it” person for tents, tools, props, and anything with wheels.

Runners / Floaters – Step in where needed, covering breaks, helping with setup, or lending a hand anywhere on site.

WINGS in a Day – Support our youngest participants for one-day visits.

Session Facilitators – Confident leading short workshops? We’d love specialists in STEM, arts, performance, sustainability, and more.
Training will be provided for many roles, so please get in touch even if you don’t already have the skills – enthusiasm and teamwork go a long way!
