Love building, problem‑solving, and bringing big ideas to life? Join the programme team supporting our construction‑focused craft activities, where young people design, test, and build using their hands and their imaginations.
You’ll help participants take on exciting challenges such as bridge building, LEGO, robotics and creating structures that balance, move, and sometimes spectacularly collapse before being rebuilt even better. This role is all about encouraging curiosity, teamwork, and creative thinking through practical, hands‑on construction.
You’ll guide groups as they plan, assemble, adapt, and test their designs – celebrating clever solutions, learning from what didn’t quite work, and taking pride in what they’ve built together. Expect busy tables, focused problem‑solving, and plenty of “What if we try…?” moments.
If you’re enthusiastic, patient, and enjoy helping young people turn ideas into real, working creations, this role is a brilliant way to inspire builders, engineers, and inventors at WINGS.
If you’re not already a member of a recognised WAGGGS (Guides) or WOSM (Scouts) organisation, we’ll arrange membership as part of your volunteering with us (you’ll need to be a member to be on-site during the event).
