Do you love creating unforgettable experiences and helping teams thrive? As Head of Sub Camps, you’ll lead the brilliant volunteer teams who bring each Sub Camp at WINGS 2026 to life. Think people leadership, event buzz, and plenty of adventure behind the scenes!
What you’ll do:
- Build your dream team and help recruit and support Sub Camp Leaders, Deputies, and Team Members.
- Guide the journey by keeping your teams motivated, informed, and ready for action.
- Shape the experience and support the coordination of Sub Camp activity during the jamboree.
- Champion safety & quality by ensuring teams complete required training and follow WINGS guidelines.
- Wrap things up with style and support post‑event reporting and closure (by March 2027).
Your time commitment:
- Join the fun as soon as you’re appointed and stay with us until event closure.
- Be part of key planning meetings.
- Attend the WINGS 2026 event week (the best part!).

Someone who…
- Enjoys leading and inspiring others
- Communicates clearly and builds strong relationships
- Stays calm under pressure and solves problems creatively
- Can juggle plans, people, and priorities with a smile
- Brings energy, positivity, and a love of Scouting/Guiding to everything they do
What you’ll need:
- Membership of Girlguiding or Scouts (or be willing to join)
- A current DBS through either organisation
