WATER ACTIVITIES INSTRUCTOR
Responsible to | Head of Water Activities |
Responsible for | Instructing in bell boating and traditional rafting |
Works with | Other water activities instructors |
Role purpose | To provide safe, fun activities on the water (a lake in Wraysbury) |
Time Commitment | WINGS week – 25th July to 1st August 2020.
A day (or more!) either side of this week, if possible (but not essential), to help set up, take down, collect boats and equipment. |
Role requirements | By accepting this role:
The appointee must: a) accept the values of Scouting and Guiding b) agree not to promote any beliefs, behaviours or practices that are not compatible with the values of Scouting or Guiding c) agree to work within the polices and rules of both Associations d) have not been convicted of any other offence(s) or subject to disciplinary proceedings relevant to this role |
Qualifications | British Canoeing Bell Boat Helm
Traditional Rafting permit (Scouting) If you don’t have any or either of these qualifications, please still apply if you are interested in gaining them. We will be running courses so that you can get the qualifications. The first bell boat course is on 5th-6th October 2019, in Reading, Berkshire, UK. |
