Responsible to: Juice & Milkshake Bar Manager
Responsible for: Joining the team delivering the in-house Juice and Milkshake Bar at WINGS 2020.

Providing a variety of juices and milkshakes made to order for staff, leaders and participants.

The Juice & Milkshake Bar will be open from mid morning to late evening, with a shift rota covering the opening times to ensure everyone is able to enjoy the Jamboree.

Please note this is separate to that of the staff catering provision.
Key activities of the role: Specific Responsibilities:

  • Taking orders, and payment from adults and young people.
  • Preparing drinks following the recipes provided.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of food preparation areas, ensuring the Juice and Milkshake Bar is clean and welcoming.
  • Following appropriate health and hygiene controls and finance procedures as advised at the start of the jamboree.
Person specification This role is likely to be very active, as such you should be able to:

  • Be keen and eager to deliver a great experience for those attending the event and visiting the Juice & Milkshake Bar.
  • Be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Be able to move items of stock and ingredients from storage to the Juice & Milkshake Bar, both manually, and with aids.

No experience of working in a Juice or Milkshake Bar is required, full training will be given at the start of the Jamboree.
Role requirements By accepting this role:

  •  You will be required to be or become a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) or the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).
  • You will be required to hold a current DBS Disclosure through either Girlguiding or The Scout Association UK.

The appointee must:

a)   accept the values of Scouting and Guiding

b)   agree not to promote any beliefs, behaviours or practices that are not compatible with the values of Scouting or Guiding

c)    agree to work within the policies and rules of both Associations

d)   have not been convicted of any other offence(s) or subject to disciplinary proceedings relevant to this role
