Kimberley Mulcahy

PR Officer

I’m Kimberley and I’m a Brownie Unit Leader in Kent. I’ve been involved with guiding almost all my life, only taking a small siesta in my teenage years.

I’ve been very fortunate to have many incredible opportunities since I returned as a 17 year old, some of my highlights include a two year post representing my Region as a LaSER Champion, helping to create Think Resilient the Peer Ed resource (my name is in the back!) and being involved in Wellies and Wristbands under Anne’s amazing Lead Volunteer wing!

I haven’t been involved with Scouts before and never been to a jamboree myself, but from the experiences others have shared with me, I am convinced that WINGS is the kind of event that reignites the passion we all share as volunteers in organisations that really do change lives and provides once in a lifetime experiences for our young members. I love telling the world of the fabulous things Girlguiding does and know that Scouts do equally inspiring work, so once I heard about a PR role at WINGS 2020, I knew I had to apply to lend a hand in letting everyone know what an awesome event it will be.

In my work life I’m a Chartered Tax Adviser at a busy firm of accountants and when I’m not stuck at my desk I like to get outside and in the fresh air. I’m often found down at the stables with my handsome horse relaxing on a hack or training and competing locally in dressage.

I can’t wait to be involved in the magic of WINGS 2020 and look forward to meeting you all there and sharing the fun we’re having with the unlucky ones who haven’t made it to the jamboree!
