Grasshoppers galore! 

The insects of Windsor Great Park have made us feel very welcome despite 4,000 young people descending on their turf this week. Ants in tents were a feature early on in the week, and we’ve had plenty of wasps on site, but it’s the grasshoppers that have attracted the interest of Berkshire’s young people.

Theo, Joe and Oliver have started giving their grasshoppers the VIP treatment with their own houses. There are five grasshopper pets so far, including the aptly named Grassy (the OG: Original Grasshopper), Greeny (the green one), and Little Brown (yep you’ve guessed it, little and brown)

These insects have been well looked after and we’re sure they will be returned to the rightful habitat once we leave camp.
