Chief Scout makes a positive impression 

Chief Scout Dwayne Fields paid us a visit on Tuesday and got immediately stuck into the action. Visiting the Wheelwright’s Guild, Dwayne put his skills to the test with wheelchair basketball, showing some serious talent against the opposition.

With legions of fans seeking selfies and autographs, Dwayne was a man in demand as he toured the campsite, visiting East Anglia, the ScoutMed team, and behind the scenes to greet the many volunteers that are making this WINGS so special.

During his visit to the Mini WINGS craft tent, we discovered that he is not a big fan of glitter, but when meeting with the lovely volunteers in our information tent, we found his love for Jelly Babies!

2nd Cippenham and 3rd Upton, known as UpCipp for this week’s adventures, spotted Dwayne during the day and the troop got a quick pic – thanks to Megan for sharing with us at The Wandering Quill. He signed all their neckers and it made their week.
